Duluth and St. Louis County at the Capitol Days

The Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce coordinates the most effective regional citizen lobbying event at the State Capitol, which attracts over 500 people from Northeastern Minnesota.

Throughout the day, Duluthians and Northeastern Minnesotans meet face-to-face with legislators from all over Minnesota. The same evening, legislators and their staff join the contingency at an informal reception designed to promote continual dialogue. As a result of this event, lawmakers at the Capitol hear about our region’s legislative initiatives directly from voters.

2017 Duluth & St. Louis County at the Capitol Priorities Booklet

As an important supporter of NE MN, we share with you the priorities booklet that will be sent to our legislators.  It contains the identified priorities in our region for which we will be advocating.  The areas of bonding requests are outlined as well as positions on broader policy issues surrounding health care and higher education. This publication has been sent to all Minnesota legislators and carries a unified message illustrating what is vital to our region and why it is important to our state.

We invite you to attend our Grand Reception and Legislative Breakfast at the Intercontinental St. Paul Riverfront Hotel. You will hear directly from our community and business leaders, network with legislators and their staff, visit vendor booths and enjoy food from some of our finest local restaurants.

We hope you will join us at the Intercontinental St. Paul Riverfront Hotel, March 29th & 30th.

Leadercast Duluth

7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Location: Clyde Iron Works

Leadercast 2016 focused on what it means to be a visionary leader.

Visionary leaders have the ability to see a preferred future, operate in the present, and utilize the resources around them to architect a clear path to a new destination. They work tirelessly to empower those around them to bring a vision to life.

Architects of Tomorrow imagine a future that is rich and full of hope. A future where problems are solved, questions are answered, confusion gives way to clarity.

In its simplest form, leadership is casting a compelling vision and mobilizing those around you to help you fulfill that vision. That is the role of Vision Architects… they design the path, they clarify the direction, and they lead their team toward that preferred future with little deviation.
Today is better because of the visionary leaders of yesterday, and the future will be brighter because of the Architects of Tomorrow.
