RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides comprehensive legal support, research, and administration to attorneys.
  • Prepares and reviews documents, agreements, and pleadings related to both litigation and non-litigation matters ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Resolves complex legal questions and issues under the direction of an attorney.
  • Ensures compliance by managing and completing registrations for various legal filings, and may supervise the filing process.
  • Acts as the Company’s appointee to receive and manage documents in legal matters.
  • Drafts and reviews minutes and written actions of corporate meetings for review and evaluation.
  • Upholds integrity and the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Serves as a valuable resource for colleagues who have less experience.
  • Follows established procedures while identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • May lead projects or initiatives.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent PLUS 8 years or more progressively responsible job-related experience; OR
  • Associate’s degree with course work in legal field PLUS 6 years or more of progressively responsible job-related experience; OR
  • Paralegal certification PLUS 6 years or more of progressively responsible job-related experience

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position will report regularly in person to Duluth, MN.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must exercise a high level of initiative, judgment, and expertise in Company practices, policies, and the corporate organization.
  • Develops and maintains positive internal and external working relationships through excellent organizational, research, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of legal principles and practices, research techniques, terminology, and local/state/federal regulations.
  • This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.

BENEFITS:

  • The expected annual compensation range for this position is $75,000 – $93,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, this position qualifies for a comprehensive benefits package, including an Incentive Program, Retirement Benefits, Medical, Dental & Vision Plans, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, Life Insurance, Disability, Tuition Reimbursement, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences, and more.
