RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with a variety of ALLETE Accounting staff members, on a project-by-project basis.
  • Potential projects may include, but are not limited to: financial statement preparation, general accounting, accounts payable, budgeting and cash reporting.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting with an expected graduation date between December 2025 to June 2027
    Computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite Skills (i.e. Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of people in changing situations
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Candidates may be subject to assessment of skills, job match, or aptitude

DETAILS & DURATION OF INTERNSHIP:

  • This internship will report in person to Duluth, MN
  • This role is expected to begin January 2025, however there may be an opportunity to begin prior to that if the candidate’s academic schedule allows.
  • This internship will be part-time during the academic year of 10 to 20 hours per week and full-time during summer. There is the possibility of extending into the following academic year on a part-time basis until graduation.
  • ALLETE will comply with college requirements
  • Hours and duration are subject to change based on company needs
