Allow us to introduce you to our 2022 Chamber Award Winners. These outstanding individuals were recognized for their achievements and contributions to the business community at the 152nd Annual Meeting & Dinner Celebration on November 2.
Business Champion of the Year
Dr. Chiamaka Enemuoh,
Lifestone Health Care, LLC
Dr. Chiamaka Enemuoh is actively involved in our Chamber, serving on our executive committee and Board of Directors as Vice Chair of Fuse & Leadership Duluth. A proud small business owner, she is the founder and President of Lifestone Health Care. She serves on several community boards and volunteers as an advisor for the Entrepreneur Fund’s STRIDE program. In 2020, she won the Minnesota Minority-Owned Small Business award, and earlier this year, generously sponsored a fellow small business’ Chamber membership. Dr. Chiamaka exemplifies what it means to be a Business Champion in her work, in her values, and in her gracious spirit. Congratulations, Chiamaka!
Volunteer of the Year
Sam Richie,
Fryberger Law Firm
Behind the scenes of Duluth & St. Louis County at the Capitol is a dedicated volunteer leading the lobby team charge. Our volunteer of the year, Sam Richie invests hours contacting, scheduling, and rescheduling to assure our voice is heard at the Capitol. Sam attended law school at William Mitchell after which he began working at the Minnesota State Senate. After two Legislative Sessions, Sam was hired by the Fryberger Law Firm in 2014 where he has worked representing clients at the Legislature ever since. Congratulations, Sam!
Ambassador of the Year
Jena Evans,
University of Minnesota Medical Schools, Duluth Campus
Our 2022 Ambassador of the Year has demonstrated exemplary Ambassadorship by participating in ribbon cuttings, attending Chamber events, and has given her time to visit with many of our newest members to welcome them to our Chamber. Jena Evans currently serves as the Communications Manager for the U of M Medical Schools, Duluth Campus. Jena has volunteered as an ambassador since 2019. She has served on several boards, is an active member of the Duluth Rotary Club, and she volunteers within our community. And of course – If you know Jena, you’d agree that she radiates positive energy and loves to connect with others, characteristics that truly make Jena an outstanding ambassador. Congratulations!
Advancing Leader of the Year
Dan Berg,
National Bank of Commerce
This new award showcases the steps we take in our career paths to advance. Great leaders are lifelong learners and understand the importance of authentic connections. Dan Berg became involved with Fuse Duluth in 2019. He graduated Leadership Duluth in 2020 and remained engaged and supportive of Fuse as we ventured through the difficult task of developing community relationships during a time when we could not gather in-person. Outside of his volunteer work for Fuse, Dan is commercial lender for National Bank of Commerce. He is an avid sports fan, father to Natalie and Kyler, husband to Krystal, and recently became a member of the Chamber’s board of directors. Congratulations, Dan!
