Hiring Salary Range: $30 – $35 an hour to be determined depending on experience
Hours: Full time / of hours ranging between 32 – 40 hours weekly

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership:
● Provide support in labor relations matters, including grievance processing and contract negotiations
● Collaborate with leadership team members
● Act as a YWCA Duluth spokesperson when appropriate
● Uphold and further the mission of the YWCA Duluth
● Support fund development efforts through grant writing and reporting
● Financial responsibilities including: budget creation and tracking and following spending procedures for
programs and supplies
● Other duties as assigned
Programs:
● Implement Community Assessment Report actions and build awareness and partnerships through a 2026
roadshow
● Develop and implement special initiatives and programs in collaboration with leadership and with direct
support from Strategic Advisor
● Implement and manage two team members for the New American Social Service Access Hub, a new
temporary program funded by the State of Minnesota and hosted by Justice North
● Implement and manage team members for other programs as determined and funded.
● Lead Young Leaders Program which includes recruiting, onboarding, and helping manage six paid interns
over the course of the year. Act as supervisor for three program development interns.
Advocacy:
● Create and implement an annual advocacy agenda
● Act as first point of contact for all advocacy issues
● Represent YWCA Duluth at community events
● Implement 2026 advocacy agenda which includes:
○ Lead Childcare Task Force – Economic Justice
○ Participate in MN Equal Rights Act Coalition – Gender Justice
○ Participate in Interfaith Committee for Migrant Justice – Immigration Justice
○ Partner with local BIPOC-run and serving organizations – Racial Justice
○ Partner with local organizations to conduct voter registration activities – Democratic Justice

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
● A minimum of five years experience developing and implementing programs
● A minimum of five years experience working in collaboration with partners,
businesses, and community members
● A minimum of three years experience managing people, with five years preferred
● Must relate well with youth and adults from diverse backgrounds
● Group leadership skills and experience with conflict resolution
● Must be at least 21 years old and be able to pass a background check
● An essential understanding of and commitment to the fundamental principles of the YWCA mission
● Knowledge of race and gender disparities
● Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills
● Proficient in google workspace and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in women & gender studies, nonprofit administration, business, or other related course of
study
● Experience working with youth
● Knowledge of gender-specific issues related to the development of girls, trans and nonbinary people.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
● Ability to hear the conversational voice with or without a hearing aid
● Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
